The engine has 75 miles on it after the rebuild. I get a noise during acceleration that can be heard when I give the car some gas. It is present in park or Drive.
Car drives fine but I suspect that it may have some kind of exhaust leak. Almost sounds like my old go-cart. What could this be? I did have a cracked exhaust manifold and replaced it last week. Also replaced EGR gaskets. All parts are tight and I do not feel any leaks there. The video is not the best but you can here the noise.

Have you checked the flexible part of the exhaust, between the cat and the manifold

I noticed that it had a small bit of free play while I was moving the tubing to instal the new manifold. It was only a small amount and could barely be pushed with my hands, I will try to check it tomorrow evening.
Thanks

My wife's 01 was leaking from there and had to change it.

I'll put it up on ramps tomorrow and see if I can feel a leak there. Thanks again.

Sounds more like a leak on the intake side to me ... if you mean the pffffftt sound when you press the pedal? Maybe check the airbox is tight and actually has a filter in there...

I cannot tighten the intake more than it already is. I used new gaskets and do not see a twist in them, the intake manifold does not look cracked. There is a filter in my airbox.....

I put her up on ramps this evening and started the car. After I got under the car I flexed the exhaust pipe and could not tell a difference. I also places some paper around the flex adapter to see if anything was leaking out.
I found nothing. Maybe i'll run it by an exhaust shop Saturday, problem being that the closest one is 35 miles away.....should I drive it there or just go ahead and replace the pipe? Where is the best place to get the pipe at a low cost? Ebay only seems to have the pipes for turbos.

The EGR valve was not tight enough. I installed a new gasket and tighened it. Issue solved.
