Default Good or bad?

About a month ago my wife's 03 non turbo pt broke the timing belt while she was driving it down the road.We finally managed to get the new timming belt on and it put back together and it would run good at a high rmp but let off the acc. and it would lope and die.....now....ive got several question's....do the timming marks on the camshafts have to be aligned at 180 degrees across or can they be aligned but slightly higher than 180?...also...someone told me to do a compression test so i got one of my buddies to do it,he just called me and said that 2 cylinders were fluctuating between 70 and 80....the other 2 were at 120.....is this good or bad?

Yikes.

God hope it's only the Timming that's off.

Simply use a straight edge to align timing marks.
First align the edge w/ center of gear bolts, then look at timing marks.
