Default Doing a N/A build and got some good questions for ya値l

So the long story made short my friends step sister took a car for a test drive. Said there was shit wrong with it and the guy freaked and come to the house later that night and put shit in my gas tank and later that night I made it about 1km and she died so I got the head off and the cylinder walls were cleaned of all oil which is why my compression was low. So I have dropped the engine and tranny and got to work. So now my first question I looked at the pistons and they look like SRT Pistons????? So I thought about it and the compression when I got it was 170 which I thought was low but that痴 was a SRT makes??? So did they come with these stock? The next question is I知 Using new stratus pistons which is a lot taller which should up my compression to what 220?? And is the pt head any different? From the stratus. Any info on the subject would be sweet.
And finial I知 going to delete the (what痴 it called lol) the counter balance in the oil pan which I know u block off one of the oil ports but have any of you done this.

Pistons have similar appearance in any 2.4

I don't understand exactly what the engine's issue is.

You said it had 170 psi compression???

so the first pic is what the pistons look like out of my car not thoughs ones that just a pick i got off the internet. and my car as i said only made 170 compression which is wierd? now the pistons that im puting in is like the ones in the next pic which i would believe is stratus pistons. agian just something close that i could get of the internet lol. and the engine quit coz of what the guy put in my gas must of been a acid i would expect becouse of the oil displacement but anyways that dont matter right now lol

The '2d' gen 2.4 pistons have more pronounced 'ski' jump.

You can see your 'SRT' has a thick wrist pin, I'd guess N/A 2.4 has a tapered
pin.

I should say i'm not intimate with the 2.4, I've only worked on a few

Sounds like a plan, any ways.

What did the 'acid' do the pistons???? I'd find it hard to believe the engine would run if it were a non-combustable, perhaps it was added to the crankcase?????

Who is the person who put shit in your tank and why is he still walking around and not either in jail or in the hospital?

First things first. The compression ratio stock is 9.4:1 if you get longer piston rods and performance pistons and have the heads shaved you might get around 10.9:1 compression ratio. There is a bunch of small things that will add up to really raise the compression. Since you have the heads off go ahead and get them ported and polished. Might as well do a performance cam, lifters, and valves.
Next if you have the engine code for the PT cruiser you can cross referance what other cars might have that same engine to get the rods and pistons. What will make a huge diffrence about using the pistons from another car with the same engine is the head and the position of the valves. This dictates the shape of the piston in most modern cars. They do this for better compression and flow through the chambers.
Also do not forget that you will have to adjust the timing so early detonation does not occur and cause damage to the engine.
Also make sure that there is enough room to inside the chamber so the valves and pistons do NOT slap each other. This will cause major damage.
I hope that you already have gotten your cruiser up and running.
