Default Loss of Horse Power need HELP

this morning went to drop the kids off and i could hear this odd sound like a hiss or air sound went i hit on the gas , then when i tryed to pass a car i noticed i could not speed up i had the gas to the floor and it took about 45 seconds to reach 80 miles just had no power to speed up .. and the sound seems like theres a problem with the o2 may be i dont know could use some help ... dont have a clue what it might be i feel like pulling stuff out of my engine...

I called the dealer for told them what i think the problem is and they were sounds like a 2400.. dollar job...

any time i dont know what the problem is they tend to rape me with out lube...

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Check all hoses - look at ends where they're clamped or for splits in the tubing.

try spraying some starting fluid around all vaccume tubes and connections!! if the engine starts to rev up with no one opperating the throttle ya got a leak :-) kind of a back-woods hillbilly test but it works. (no offence to anyone thats backwoods... i am too) not the safest way but it gets the job done!!! just my $0.02 tho
