OEM Intake Question
I was wondering if it is a good idea to remove the white cylinder piece from the intake box. I dropped in a K&N filter, and was curious if I would get any more power or noise if I removed the white plastic piece from the air box.

Yes remove the silencer and if you want the snorkel = more air without the restrictions

I didn't really notice any noise change but I also but my mopar bov on at the same time

I didn't have my stock box on quite right for some time after installing the K&N drop in filter. The back four clips were in the top part, I hadn't noticed them at first. It had a really cool low groan sound like I had a muffler kit on it. People would always look over to see what kind of car it was.
