Default Battery recommendation - 2006 Limited

Hey guys,
had the oil changed today and they told me my battery needed replaced. I have a trusted friend who works there so I know it's not up-selling.

I've done some searching and I'm considering the AutoCraft Silver Battery, Size 26R, 575 CCA from advanced for $84.99. It's got some decent reviews, and the price isn't bad.

Just curious if anyone has had experience with this battery or another recommendation I could look at.

Thanks,
Shelly

That's the same battery I use, and paid like $50 with a coupon....If you want to save $35, PM your email and I'll send you a coupon

I just paid $50 for one from WalMart - It had 30 more CCAs than original, and since my original lasted nearly 6 years and 100,000 miles, I thought I'd be fine.
My PT gets a 50 mile commute each way, short trips shorten battery life.

At tire shop, price had an inverse relationship to battery quality-

We sold many, many old cheapies- They never came back- most expensive premiums would.

Modern vehicles need little amperage to start. I'd bet you could use a $20
lawnmover battery (What I use) and it'd still start at -20

This reminded me of my father in law. he had an old jump start pack that wasn't working. He took the battery out of it and it still held a charge. So, he put it in his lawnmower and it has lasted over five years without any charging over the winters!
