Default Changing front brake caliper right now - NEED HELP.

Installing new drivers side brake caliper since mine seized and would not compress.

Anyone know the torque spec for the hose-to-caliper connection? I want to make sure I get those crush washers right and not have any leak.

if you use new washers it doesn't take much.

re-using washers will take alot, and sometimes will never seal.

I've never used a torque wrench; if it don't leak under pressure; it's good!

That's the banjo bolt, the torque spec says 24 newton meters, or 18 foot pounds, or 210 inch pounds. See graphic below:

Thanks guys, but I F'd it up. Went too far and broke the banjo bolt. It didn't take too much force at all. I was really surprised when the head popped off.

Anyway, I will call the dealer for a new banjo tomorrow and will torque correctly at 18lb.

I'd guess they are common to many Chrysler (and likely other) vehicles as IIRC, Bendix makes PT Brakes.
Go to U-Pull and grab one off a C-Van.
