I see JET Chips has a performance chip for the 2.4 litre in the Jeep Liberty...
Will it work for us PT types? Anyone know? Anyone hazard a guess? |

Jet has a control module for the PT Cruiser.
http://www.performancepartz.com/prod...oducts_id=1518 BTW, here's a review that MX-5 wrote on the Jet Control Module: This 5-wire black box intercepts the throttle position and manifold vacuum signals. It send new signals that call for more fuel and timing advance. Sounds good, 'eh? I tried to give zero stars, but the rating system won't let me. PLease read the single star as a big ZERO. Well here's the real deal. Those sensors and signals are only read up to 80% throttle. After that, the PCM reverts to a pre-programmed fuel and timing strategy. So this $200 box adds only a few horsepower during mid-throttle and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING at full throttle. Isn't that what you were looking for in the first place? I've heard rumors that it has since been discontinued. Go figure? Saturday 9/7/2002 1:39 am

You know, I did a lot of testing of the Jet module.
I recorded and graphed the datastream with a scanner for weeks to be sure it didn't add any full throttle horsepower. 1/4 mile track times were identical with or without the Jet. The only consistant change was a check engine light and a trouble code for the MAP sensor out of range. |
