Default Timing Belt

Howdy,

Have an 01 PT 2.4,, had to take the head off and mangled the inner timing cover so I need to replace it. Whats the BEST way to get the front engine mount off, take off the inner cover, replace it and the timing belt??

All the "How TOs" that were given to you by UptownSport are for repairing the 2.4 Ltr engine while it is still IN the car. There's a least 3 threads on changing the timing belt in that list. The inner cover should be accessed while doing that repair. The instructions should also say how to remove the engine mount.

Yea, there's even a thread mixed in there that shows how to do the timing belt when you don't have a lift. Now that's a back breaking job.

Unbolt the transmission mount and drop the driver's side too. It will give you a little extra room.
