Default Adjustment screw or waste of time ?

I'd been reading all the posts about how the PCM controls the idle. Well, being a semi-believer, I went looking on my '06 and found that there is a 'security torx' screw that would appear to be able to adjust the throttle plate 'home' position. Unfortunately, not having the right torx bit, I couldn't try, but would I be correct in the assumption that if I give that a turn, and force the throttle plate to be open a hair more at home position, wouldn't that increase my idle ? Or will the PCM take over and simply reduce the fuel flow ?

Reason I ask is, it seems to like idling at @ 600, making it a bit rough ( something to do with the balancer thingy that is supposed to help smooth it ).
If I hold the pedal, and ease it up to around 750-800, it feels MUCH smoother.

Figured it's at least worth the ask, before I go spend a few bucks on torx bits.

Any ideas ?

IDK what these are supposed to idle at-

Mounts may be shot (prolly, if you haven't replaced them in last month )

The PCM will also drop idle to 500 RPM IF it believes car is overheating.
CTS was different than gauge sensor in Neon- Can think now how PT sensor is setup
IOW, sensor could be giving PCM inaccurate info

What are other's PT idling at???

Doubt if it's any of those. Just bought it from dealership that gives all cars 125 point inspection, and trust me, when they say it passes their standards, they mean it. Drove it all day today with A/C on, and it did idle about 750, and was real smooth. Maybe it's just my imagination that it's low, maybe it's right where it should be for a stick. I've just finished a tank with some injector cleaner, and it is starting to get smoother. Filled up and added another round of cleaner today, so I'll see what that does for it. Hard to say. I may still get a set of security Torx and give it a turn. Arg, I do have to wait till the next few days of rain and cold pass by.

But, thanks for the suggestions.
