Transmissions are EZ and cheap to procure.
Decide the ratio, there's 3.55 and 3.94 (OE on PT)
and .76 and .81 5th gear choice

You're going to need clutch pedal, brackets and hydraulic system
Shifter and cables (I have used cables in stock)
Clutch (Neon guys are buying 2.7 clutches from Mopar) & TOB
Transmission Mount (I'm guessing it's different)
Connector for vehicle speed sensor (VSS) and reverse switch
Correct VSS Gear
Passengers (If I recall correctly) axle.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things, and don't know how bracketry would differ.

I don't know how PCM will deal with no transmission communication.

nah....Manuals are over-rated! As I say...I'll be waiting for you at the finish line; while you're still playing with your stick!

Tried to look at one, looked like the clutch pedal bracket was one assembly, so not a bracket you bolt on to brake bracket.

Neon guys would swap all the time, literally. Auto's were a total dog in that car- If you asked about mods first was if you had a 5 spd- After that they wouldn't talk to you if it was ATX.
