I made these out of .075 thick stainless and had them bend to 90 degree angle with a .250 radius.

I am not selling kits. I can give out dimensions. they can also be made using aluminum angle iron, will be much cheaper than stainless.
The whole set cost me $60.77. The stainless was remnant pieces I got from work.

Can you give me some details on the struts themselves? Model or part number, length compressed, length extended, where you bought them? I've seen them on McMaster-Carr, I just don't know the length and lift capacity. Thanks and Happy Cruisin'<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hi StarCrwzr, I bought the struts from "NAPPA" Auto Parts. They are 60lbs rated. (using 2 for a total of 120lbs) The part# is BK.819-5518. There is a sticker on the struts with numbers on it and those are SPD-GS-5150-60. The "60" for lb rating. I used this style of strut because it was a little smaller at the ends that allows mors clearance. I tried using a larger style withe the same rating and noticed there was an issue of clearence, the strut was hitting the corners of that black plastic thing that is mounted between the Hood and Windshield.
