So your car stalled and now wont start?

Do the key dance and see what codes if any come up.

If your timing belt broke the car will crank faster than normal.

first do the key dance and look at what trouble codes you're throwing. That would be the first place I'd start.

uh, gee, someone posted the same while I was posting...lmao

if it was the timing belt it would turn over really fast, faster than normal. You'd know right away.

"Someone somewhere posted a diagnostic where you put in the key, hold down the odometer button. Turn key to ON position and release button. It runs a diagnostic of your instrument panel and said a code might appear."

Took me a while to figure out the key dance. Turn you key on to the ACC position, as in on but not all the way on. Then turn it up one more click (not start mode, just before), then back then up then back three times fast. Last time let the key remain in ACC position and it should give you the DTC's on the odometer face. Least that's how mine works.
