It cast into that housing- Prolly a little larger than two of these fonts.

Here's an image from google:

You can ask Chromenut for the Factory Service Manual or google
'PT Cruiser FSM download'

I'd guess detailed pictures are posted by one of us in the 'how-to' links atop this forum.

Thank u, I have the motor still in the car so it's hard to see it.I was thinking that I could lower the driver side of the sub-frame to help get the motor up some more and I still could not find the marks and now the wife is getting on me

That pic is of a Neon, BTW (reason for funny looking old-school tensioner), but marks the same. I looked thru my pic archives and have never taken a pic of it-

It's a ways back, but you should be able to see it. I do know you can get confused, not because mark is obscured, but it's hard to get a straight-on view to line up pulley mark andarrow.

If not, remove #1 S-plug and drop a LONG screwdriver in there- You should tell when it dwells at TDC

You do have pulley and outer timing cover off???

To see it clearly, when lining up the t-belt, I used the yellow paint pen and marked it. It made it soo much easier to see...
