Default Engine removal

I have a 2006 Touring Edition with 60,000 miles on it. Started leaking oil at the front crankshaft seal. Replaced it and it did not stop leaking. Have since read about crankshaft endplay and mine is probably 1/8" or more. I am looking at a crankshaft kit. Is it easier to pull engine with transaxle or just the engine? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve

Gosh- I don't know. I took Engine outa Neon once, had it broke down and just lifted short block out.

Could you take pics??? This didn't seem to be an issue with old 2.4's
