Default Can't get error code

I just got an engine light, and did the key on and off to see the code number, but no luck.
2005 turbo!
Sequence was off/on, off/on, then on, all within 5 seconds.
I also saw the example on You Tube which was the same sequence.
Any comments as to why it's not showing?
Thanks

Actually, its: on/off, on/off, on. Since you start at the key in the off position. As was just said, keep trying.

if you do the code retrieval correctly but still don't get a code, you might want to check your tire pressure on all tires and your gas cap. take it off and put it back on and make sure you do three clicks or more. i always do like 6. if the light doesn't go away after a couple of days and your still not getting any codes, disconnect the battery for about 5 min's and then reconnect it. This will help rest the comp.
Sorry about the music on the vid by the way. lol when i recorded it, the sound didn't come out so i through on a music track instead lol.
