Default Belt chirp even with new belt and tensioner

I have a 2001 PT with 113K. I changed the alternator belt and serpentine belt last January with I replaced my timing belt.

Now I have a belt chirp that wont go away. I replaced the tensioner last week, but the belt still squeaks. I have also adjusted the alternator belt. Before I replaced the tensioner I applied more tension with a wrench on the tensioner pulley when the car was running and the noise went away, that is why I replaced the tensioner, but it still chirps even with the new tensioner. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

A chirp usually means a pulley misalignment and in most cases it usually is the tensioner, however, you have replaced that. Hard to imagine that the serpentine belt has worn out in a year but check the wear indicator marks on the new tensioner to make sure that the belt has not over-stretched (although a loose, stretched belt usually makes a screech noise and not a chirp). Other than that, you may want to try a different brand belt. Have had good luck with Goodyear Gatorback and Dayco on my other vehicles, my PT still has OEM belt.

I have washed the engine and had belts start chirping. Unfortunately the only way I'v found to fix a chirping belt is a new belt.

I agree with Busted. I had the chirp noise on belts that had been replaced only 10,000 miles before. The belts were replaced--and I've gone another 35,000 miles and no belt noises.
