What I use in my normally aspirated PT Cruisers are spark plugs and wires specified for a 2004 PT Cruiser turbo. I recommend them highly.

MSD wires and Autolite Iridium wires. Both are kind of spendy but I think they are worth the money.

Be sure to dab a tiny bit of anti-seize compound on the threads of the spark plug before inserting it into the head. And use some silicone spark plug boot grease on both ends of the wires.

The spark plugs will be easy to get at a parts store. The wires will be a little more difficult. I got mine online. From Amazon, I think. But Rock Auto ought to have them as well. Be sure to dab a tiny bit of anti-seize compound on the threads before you install them. And spread a little silicone dielectric grease on the insides of the spark plug wire boot ends. Both things are important, and not all mechanics do it. A parts store will have the anti-seize and boot release grease in little tubes. So will Rock Auto.

Red face Re: plugs & wires for a 2004 GT w/ turbo

I replaced my spark plugs & wires last weekend with champion spark plugs & mopar wires along with an oil prerssure switch "mopar too "that had been replaced before with a aftermarket so i had it swiched out to mopar & now my car is running worse than before , it bogs out at intersections and sometimes the mph dont even read and i'm doing about 35mph,

before when all this first started i replaced my tensioner due to a rat in my motor does anyone think the tensioner could have started all these issues ??
