Default Error codes

I followed the instructions to the letter to get the error codes at least 10 times, and nothing appeared with a P code in the odometer area.
Engine light had come on last time I drove it, so that is why I was checking.
When I got home, I disconnected the battery, and didn't touch the car for a week.
I then held down the odometer reset button down, and I did get readings with the on off key deal
From what I can tell there were 6 digits which I believe refer to the serial number, and then FL0007 came up, followed by EE15, and then BL01 (could have been BL10). and that's what she wrote.
Also, all the dials on the dash did a dance up and down.
I fired it up, and the engine light didn't come on, but that may just be for a short time, as my Jeep had an engine light on, and I disconnected the battery and it went away, but then reappeared.
Any comments or suggestions?

Default Re: Error codes

The codes you did get when pushing the reset button have nothing to do with nothing. Computer codes.

Disconnecting the battery cable cleared any code you did have and reset the computer so you'll have to wait till the engine light comes back on till you can try and retrieve the fault.

The on/off key dance does work if you do it right. Turning the key 3 times has to be done within 5 seconds for it to work. If no codes are stored, yu should see a "done" without the quotes.

Default Re: Error codes

Thanks.....I didn't think about the codes getting cleared when I disconnected the battery. Makes total sense once you do think about it.
Appreciate the info.
