Default over rev when changing gears

So, quite new to PT ownership and a few questions/niggles to get out of the way..firstly a reving problem.

If from idle i rev the car, it almost lingers on the rev a bit longer than "normal" also when changing gear (manual) it revs a bit more than just me geting the timing wrong... almost as if the cable is sticking? is this normal or have i got an issue?

Normal. Eventually, you won't notice it.

Mine seems to do that worse when I have the AC on, or the defroster on in the winter. I think the computer does it to compensate for the AC compressor pull.
