RECALL ??

Hey whats this new recall on the PT's regaurding the fuel system...catching fire?????

I have Heard of this also, saw it on CNN. Called my dealer and they said "Yup, If you are involved you will be contacted" Im guessing by mail.

The first repair will be the clip to get the fuel line off of the A/C line under the hood that we've all read about, the second repair will be to build a seal dam around the fuel pump between the tank and pump and change a return line from the filler neck to the tank, seems that if the car is on its roof there "could" be a leakage problem....I think they are just tryin to jump on top of this before there is a real problem...good job DC, be cool, James

A friend of mine had the recall done and he said it was a foam ring on top the gas tank. He also said the dealers have known about this for a while.

Is anyone having problems with getting the recall fixed due to adding dual exhaust. My dealership just called and said they would not fix the recall unless we wanted to pay them a fee of 90.00 stating we put on an after market exhaust system. Not our first problem with this dealership. Any one else getting charged the extra fee, I know there is a lot of us our there that have added dual exhaust.

I had my recall done yesterday at Earehart Chrysler in Beckley WV and I do have duals, they never said a thing about them...be cool, James
