Default new spark plug wires?

I've read go with 8.5mm but dam they are expensive. I can get some 7mm bosch premiums for $35. Just put double platinum bosch plugs in and didnt have enough for the premium wires. Should i really get the 8.5. I'd rather save some $$$$$$$$$. Thanks.

I think you'll be fine. The fatter wires are more insulation - ought to last longer, but nearly any other wires are better than stock.

I'd avoid the Bosch ones - I had a set put on my export model here in the UK, didn't last long - kept getting a mis-fire less than 2 months after they were fitted, garage replaced plugs but turned out to be the leads!
Ended up spending a bit extra on some Magnecor ones which I've had no problems with.

the champion double platinums is what I would use, when i was in the parts biz. 95% of the people that bought bosch 2's and 4's were back with in a month for new and diffrent plugs because there car was running like shite.
and have seen so meny with the prongs twisted or broken off and the center electrode slidding out through the top. theres a reason the german auto co. and useing NGK's now. the old bosch coppers and still one of the best nonplatinums out there, I wouldnt sell my worst enamie the platinums or fusions.

Just ordered the Granatelli spark plug wires from Texas. Sounds like they are good $47 plus shipping.

That's a great price for Granatelli's I paid more last year, best made wire I've ever seen. My PT seems happy with them.
