Default 2004 turbo timingbelt?

Hi all, new here. My friends moms friend is asking if i can change the timing belt in her 2004 turbo PT. Is the turbo any different than the non turbo for the timingbelt change? and if so what extra work is it?? And what other parts need to be replaced?? thanks frederick_76.

Ok, cool. I was told that the turbo PTs were more work, but ive never even look under the hood on one of them... yet.

Do a search, you'll find what's involved. Helps HUGE if you have the right tools, shop, air and a lift. not the average "walk in the park" for the shade tree mechanic. Just my 2 cents.

X2. Take a look in the Tech & Performance section under the HOW TO thread. There's about 3 or 4 threads dealing with the timing belt. Definitely not a job for the inexperienced.

^^^^ Right on!

Spoke to a Chrysler tech the other day- He said they'd all run and hide when a PT rolled in ...
