Default and the fun continues coolant question

we took the old radiator out today and the first thing i notice is clean green coolant i know the pt uses the yellow hoat coolant so my issue is i have no radiator and no battery to start the car if i leave the lower hose attached to the engine, remove the thermostat, and pour distilled water thru the system will it remove enough to convert back to hoat? i really dont want to contaminate a new radiator and thermostat if not needed i search but havent found exactly the same issue so im reaching out any help is always appriciated

The whole system needs to be flushed. You have old coolant in the block, heater hoses and evaporator.

ok, i havent put the radiator in the car yet but im assuming my best option is get everything reinstalled then as you said flush the system im just worried cause the cottage cheese effect sucks to clean up. i just thought i could flush the block, heater, evap without the radiator never hurts to ask but thank you for any advice doing this job, i sometimes dont grasp quickly
