Hi everyone! When I went to start my 08 PT Cruiser yesterday, it was stuttering so bad the car was shaking and the CEL came on. I had a friend come and look at it today, and when he turned it on, it was running like normal, but the CEL was still on. He said it may be carbon build up on one of the sensors, but it would be safe to drive. When I was driving it today, I noticed that my temperature gauge was sitting at the 1/4 mark while idling, but while driving it's at 1/2. Normally, once the car warms up, it's always at 1/2 whether idling or driving. Can anyone tell me what's going on with it, and is it safe to drive? Thank you for your help!

Do the 'keydance', be prepared to write the "P" codes that appear in the odometer.
Search for specifics, but it on, off on off on
