Default Changed Motor Mounts Engine Shakes

I have a 2006 PT base model, automatic.

I just had 2 of my motor mounts changed, the upper and lower torque struts on the passenger side.

Didn't cost a lot $67 for the lower mount and $62 for the upper one plus $60 for my mechanic to install.

However my engine now shakes quite a bit at idle in P R N and D, it shakes the least in neutral.

From what I have read here on the forum this is normal.

What kind of motor mounts do I need to put in so the engine does not shake?

Is there anything I can do to stop the shaking with the new mounts I have already?

Also when the upper mount was installed there was no way to adjust it, is that normal for a 2006 PT?

Thanks for your help

How do I adjust it?

There does not seem to be a way to move it.
All of the holes line up exactly including the bracket on the shock tower.

This is a 2006 PT your are talking about?

Thanks for your help

I don't recall anyone ever saying that shakeing is NORMAL when you install new mounts, Because its not. Never has been. Never will be.

In all likelyhood the type of mount you have is correct unless you bought solid mounts. Unless you requested them specifically they are not would be considered a replacement for stock mounts.

You can stop the shaking by adjusting the new mounts that you currently have installed.

Yes, all stock and stock replacement mounts are configured to be adjustable. That's what the elongated slot (instead of a normal round hole) is for at the small end of the upper mount is for. It is used to adjust the upper mount to a specific length.
