any ideas about my engine warning light comming on at only 5,600 miles

could be alot of things .
If you start with the ignition key in the -off- position , then turn the key -- on,off - on,off - then on - (within 5 seconds) , they'll be a fault code or code numbers displayed in the odometer window . If you post the numbers here , someone with a service manual can tell you what it means . Or your dealer can . I have a manual and can look it up for you if you like .
