My new 03 Turbo is almost silky smooth till the shift is being made. Then of course you can tell that it shifts not that it is harsh and not even as bad as the vibration you can detect with the A/C is cycling. In fact the whole vibration situation is better than in my 94 minivan by far. That 4 speed auto has lots of vibrations and stumbling almost like miss shifts after 141,000 miles and two trannys!

Just an update blurb to my vibration. After many e-mails to Chrysler and a few more trips to dealers. My dealer purchased a vibration analyzer. They finally drove it enough to feel the vibration and the analyzer supposedly narrowed it down to the left front axle. Both front short axles replaced. Vibration is still there and the dealer says they don't know what else to do. This whole process has been so lame. It is now in the hands of a Lemon Law attorney.

This may or may not be helpful, but Ford had a similar problem with TCs on Mustangs some years back and did a recall. You are describing a vibration. Would you say it is a "shudder" like something slipping a little? If so, you might try a trans service. This was Ford's first corrective action. I think a lot of poeple got new TC's out of that problem eventually. Just because you go back to the dealer and find others that demonstrate the same issue does not make it "normal". All cars during a particular build phase my demonstrate the problem due to a faulty part supplied by a supplier. Don't let this drop.
