Default Clutch Clicking

I have a 2003 with Turbo, manual transmission. Last week while pulling into the driveway I had the clutch depressed and heard a pop. Since then about 80% of the time when I go to press the clutch in there is a light pop I can feel and hear just an inch or so from the top.

Any ideas??

All I buy is manuals. All but 1 did this same
Thing to me. It's something that is worn out but
It never bothered me enough to do anything with it

Doesn't it crack you up how automatic transmissions are thought of as weak? 10 x more automatics than straight drives, and 10 times more 5 sp. Problems posted!

I would look at the pedal linkage under you're dash and trace it down from there. If it's not thear, it's in the bell housing.

i've blown up every automatic i've ever owned. when they slip, shudder, fail to shift ..there really isn't much to ask. for the average person, the solution is always the same.

no.. i break those too. just with a manual trans you have a chance at fixing it. so it's more than likely worth asking questions (: i had a civic as a first car and i got good at changing synchro's every three months(from constantly speedshifting at 7800rpm). i have a 90 mustang, 3rd gear likes to explode from time to time, second likes to chip teeth. my N/A PT trans seems great. low rpm redline make me think this trans will chirp third for a long time to come. with my gas pedal firmly pressed to the floor, i kick the clutch any yank it into gear right before it hits the redline and it never ceases to amaze me when it goes in like butter.

Could also be the TOB, if not a cable issue. Does your tranny make any noise while sitting at idle? When at idle, depress the clutch with your windows down and see if you hear any noise outside of the PT, in other words the sounds heard inside the car may differ from what you hear outside.

I know SRT4 had shift fork wear problems- I have no idea if Getrag used same fork. Have an assistant push pedal (assume it 'clicks' when engine is off?) and listen for noise's origin ...
