Question 2003 PT Cruiser GT stalling at 2500rpm's and multiple error codes

Hello all. Hopefully, someone here can help to shed some light on the problem I am currently having with my car. I have a 2003 PT Cruiser GT with about 120,000 miles and has a manual transmission. Recently, as I was driving down a residential street, my Cruiser started to buck and stall as I neared my home. Since it was late, I simply parked in my driveway and looked at it the following morning. Also, my check engine light came on about a week ago with no noticable change in performance.

Well, by the next morning, the problem appears to have gone away, but my check engine light was still on. I did some research on this forum and got two error codes. P1188 and P0340. Now after reading, I am still not sure what the P1188 means, but all indications of the P0340 suggested that my camshaft sensor was bad. I went to the store (car still working fine) and bought a new one then installed it. The wiring looked fine an not damaged. The check engine light was still on but figured I needed to reset it (disconnect the battery terminal) and did not mess with it as I was in a hurry to get somewhere by by now. I drove it a bit without incident. I put some premium gas in it and some fuel injector cleaner and hoped for the best.

Later that evening, it started to do the same thing - with the NEW camshaft sensor. This time, I noticed that everytime the tach got to 2500 rpms, it would cut out and stall and I would lose power. The car never actually stopped running, and I drove it home without a problem, making sure to keep it under 2500 rpms.

Now, I disconnect the negtive battery terminal, then reconnect it - still have a check engine light illuminated. Sheesh. Check for codes and now I have three.

Don't like where this is going. At any rate, the codes are as follows:

and I still have a P0340 - after spending $40 buck on a new sensor!?!

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. I am flummoxed.

for starters, the pt only likes sensors from mopar. i'm assuming you bought yours at an auto parts store. as for the other codes, google them and see what comes up.
sorry, i don't know anything about turbos. someone will chime in with your turbo problems.
