Talking My Pt Gt has been acting weird.

Recently I've noticed that the turbo has been making a slight noise when spooling kind of sounds like a constant whistle. It may be a boost leak but idk how to tell. Also today my exhaust began putting out clouds of huge white smoke at random moments. Could it be a head gasket? Turbo seal? There are no engine codes and car hasnt been overheating. It runs fine but to me I feel like something's wrong. Can anyone give me suggestions?

Whistle type noise is normal.

As far as having a 'leak', well...do you have a boost gauge? I think I mentioned it to you as well as others that, this gauge is a monitoring tool. If your boost is still the same as it's been before, then no...don't think you'll have any leaks. A whistle-type noise is perfectly normal and usually more apparent when you do mods to your intake/etc. Ever heard a semi-truck driving from a dead stop? That loud hiss/whistle is the turbo working up which gives the engine the extra-needed torque to get moving.

As for the white smoke; go to the rear of your car and smell it. If it's a somewhat 'sweet' scent, sure enough you're burning some coolant. If it's a blueish-hue, that'd be your turbo.

Yeah I'm gonna be gentle with it. But does anybody think that it could be my stage 1 causing the issues? I kno the stage 1 makes ur motor run a little rich. Can running slightly richer give u white smoke out the exhaust? So far my mechanic checked the motor itself it's not a head gasket or valve cover gasket. Motor is rock solid. Time to check the turbo itself now.

Don't think the Stage 1 will give you a problem like that! Take the hose from the intake of the turbo, try to grab the shaft of the turbo and try to move it side to side to see if it has some play! It can probably be the bearings and you may need to rebuild the seals and bearings.

Well after having my pt looked at it turns out my issue with the engine is that it's blown, I only have 70k miles on the car does this make sense???
