Default leak somewhere

Hi all,

first time here, and hoping you can help.

I seem to have a small leak somewhere in the car. At this stage when i fill the radiator with coolant it drips out somewhere and after a while its all gone.

It could be a loose clamp on the car, but not sure where i need to be belooking.

I hope that its not a crack in the radiator, so any help would be great.

thanks

Hope I don't sound 'mean' in how I say things but it's kind of a given as to where to start but I'll give you some help.

If you've got a leak, the first place I'd check is the ground immediately under the car.

You can get a good idea of where a leak is dripping from or where it's trailing from.

Visually inspect under your vehicle as well; more specifically look at any and all cooling components such as any hoses that lead to and fro the radiator.

I just had to replace my friends radiator about 2 days ago and created a walk-through on how to do it, very picture-friendly too so that will come to use if you need it (let's hope not). Another thing is, when your car is on...do you notice any whiter-than-normal smoke coming from your exhaust pipe? The smell would be slightly sweet too since coolant has a nice sweet smell to it.

PS Hope you're refilling your coolant with HOAT. Don't use the regular green-add-to-any stuff.

One more thing; welcome to the forum!

Should edit your profile to state where you're located at.

Do you really mean to say you have a leak IN the car?

If indeed, it is IN the car, the most probable cause is a leaky heater core.
