Default Engine miss upon deceleration

I posted awhile ago about a really baffling issue I had with what seemed to be a misfire whenever I decelerated around 60 mph. Had no fault codes or anything else to help diagnose. Well, I discovered the cause today when I had the hood up and the motor running to check the transmission fluid level. I heard this loud hissing noise that I obviously hadn't heard from inside the car when it was running.

It turns out that there is something that looks like a little in-line filter which connects to a rubber elbow on the back of the power brake booster. It had become disconnected and was just hanging down, with the elbow wide open. As soon as I put my finger over the end of the elbow, I could feel the vacuum and the idle got lower. Cleaned it up and added a cable tie to snug it up. What a difference! This has had me on eggshells for quite some time, letting my imagination drive me nuts. All I can say is that I'm glad I finally figured it out it, and also DUH!!! to myself for not thinking of something vacuum-related sooner than this.
