Default Radiator Fan Fuses Keep Blowing!

I've tried searching and can't seem to find a good answer for my problem. I've already changed the radiator fan, but the fuse will blow after several days of the car operating. My guess is it's a corroded wire, but I can't seem to find it just yet. I was told I can wire the fan directly to something that comes on when the car is started and this would alleviate the wiring issue. Do any of you have any other recommendations for me? I do know the car was in a front-end accident prior to me buying it a year ago. The airbags never deployed nor did the radiator support need to be changed. This leads me to believe, though, that its a wiring problem.

For the thousand'th time, we need the year of your car and if it's a turbo or not.

IT DOES MATTER WHEN YOUR ASKING FOR HELP.

Sorry to be so blunt but we get tired of asking. The turbos have a different fan and in 06 the electrics were all changed to a Can Buss system.

Your guess is probably right and you have a short somewhere in the electrics. Crawl under the car and start and the electrical connection for the fan itself. Many owners have found a bad connection there.

Sorry about that...it's a 2006 non-turbo 2.4L, auto, touring. I looked at it Friday, but didn't see any obvious issues at the fan connection.

Wiring it straight through will ware the fan out very quickly. I would check the wires by hand for chaffing. Is there any thing electrical devices added to the car that's not original? Could also be an issue.

I have an '07 NA, and am also having this problem except my fuse (#15-50amp) blows every time I turn on the ac, might this be a bad fan speed relay causing a feed back or should I also look for the circuit grounding somewhere?
