Default 2008 PT won't start

Bought my daughter a 2008 PT in October 2011, had 40K miles on it. Car has been wonderful, she loves it. However, this morning when she tried to start it, one click, then nothing. Put the jumpers on it and tried again, one click then nothing. Lights are bright, a/c comes on, dash lights, radio, etc. all work. When you turn the key, one click then nothing.

Try installing a new battery. It's possible for the battery to be so discharged that even jump starting is difficult. It takes much more juice to turn the engine over than to light up the guages.

I find it ironic that the colors red, white, and blue stand for freedom until they are flashing behind you.

Cable connections can also be causing the same issue. At the post or the other connections of the cables as they go to the alt and starter. Start at the battery posts and follow them to there next connection.

Started at the positive terminal ... wires at the clamp were corroded and the bolts on clamp itself were stripped a bit. Trimmed the wires and installed a new clamp. Fires up like a champ! Checked the battery too ... it was fine.

Thanks for all your help. Great Forum!
