Default gauge issue

Hello everyone i'm new to this and i made an account because i had my 01 pt cruiser for a while now but I have a problem now that i don't know how to solve. I have changed the face of my instrument cluster. I did not disconnect the battery. Now everything is back in place, the gas needle and temp needle shoot up to the highest point when the ignition is on. So it says i have more than a full tank of gas and the tempeture is exceeding hot. Does anyone know how to fix it.?

Have you tried disconnecting the battery now?

You can run a test of the numerals and needles by hooding in the trip reset button and turning on the key (don't start the engine). The numerals will count up (11111, 22222, 33333 etc.) and then the dials, one at a time on each dial will test it's function. Leave go of the reset button when the numerals start counting.

There is an issue if you kept your instrument cluster facing up for a long time. I think Crewzin posted something related to that some time ago. Since I read that, I always keep my cluster in vertical position.
