Exclamation O2 Touring horn fuse & relay location

Just bought an 02 Touring edition but my horn doest't work & nothing happens when I push panic on the key fob. Checked cover for fuse to left of my knee inside car & doesn't list horn at all. Is it under the hood?

Also, are these suppose to roar like a sports car when accelerating or do I possibly have an exhaust issue?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

The "roar" is either caused by an aftermarket exhaust or an aftermarket intake. Most likely the intake the way you described it. The stock PT is quiet.

The horn relay IS in the engine compartment in the PDC (Power Distribution Center) under the air filter. It's the Letter "A" in all the relays and the fuse is No#14.

Thumbs up Re: O2 Touring horn fuse & relay location

Thanks so much! Now I can check & see if I can find the problem. Your also right about the exhaust as I saw a mechanic today. Meeting up again next week as he wants to check my belt under some covet. He says that mfg suggest replacement between 75k- 112k miles & since it has 113k & no service records he is going to check it. I pray the previous owner replaced it as its a $500 job.

I did minor stuff today - replaced driver fog light, tail light & brake light, but for a chick tats as mechanical I get. 😉

Waiting till tonight to check tire pressure as it was in high 90's today.

Thanks again
