I'm not sure I understand your question correctly, but if you are asking "will my air bags fire because I removed the fuse and refitted it" then the answer is no, they won't fire. Pulling the fuse is no different to removing the battery

I would find a way to manually open the bonnet(hood) and disconnect the battery, that way there's absolutely no chance of accidentally shorting something during strip down/ rebuild. If you were to be unlucky you could damage the PCM or an associated module. It's not worth the risk in my opinion

Go to the "tech & performance" section and then to the sticky "how to" section and then to my directions on "how to open hood when cable breaks". Everyone that has followed my directions has been able to open the hood so far.

There are two fuses in the interior fuse box that are air bag related, numbers 5 and 10 if I remember correctly. Personally, I would open the hood and then remove negative battery cable and then step on the brake pedal for a couple minutes if I were doing this.

Mainly it's just a habit I've gotten into anytime I work on our PCM controlled cars. It's especially important for instance, when you're working on your airbags and trying to remove any remaining stored residual power anywhere in your electrical system that might set the bags off and make you walk in circles while singing "Its a small world" for the remaining productive years of your life.

In other words, anytime I feel the need to unhook my battery to do something, I always "drain the system".

Don't have a big fear with dealing with the airbag. Just be cautious and it will be fine. I had to remove mine on my 2009 and was terrified. But as suggested I unhooked the negative, pressed the brake pedal several times, and then let it sit for about 15 minutes. Didn't have any issues at all.
