Default Key on engine off code?

When I turn my key to on position I have check engine light. But driving its gone. I used my scan tool and nothing shows up. It says no codes present and shows a green light for good. How do I go about this without going to the dealer?

There is no code. All cars do this unless it has been tampered with. They do this to show you they are working.

Busted's right on. You should have other lights that come on also when the key's turned. without starting the engine. A couple stay on, others go out after a couple seconds.

I find it ironic that the colors red, white, and blue stand for freedom until they are flashing behind you.
