Unhappy over heating pt

ok bought my 2002 pt 25 days ago. last night driving home it started to over heat. Stop let it cool down added coolent then drove home still over heating. in less then 5 min. does not look like fan is woking also fuze lookes good. will look at it better on sunday but any good ideas to look at thanks for the help it a automatic and the standerd 1.4 ?

Welcome to the forum. The radiator fan is a common problem with the PT. One or both speeds of the two speed fan burns out causing problems like overheating.

If your any good at mechanics, the fan is pretty easy to replace. You can buy a whole new fan and shroud for about $85 and put it in yourself in about 2 hours.

By the way, it's a 2.4 ltr, not 1.4. It's the ONLY engine built in the U.S.

ok went out and atarted the pt and turn on ac fan is not on are the sens at the fan and would be replaced if I do the fan and shourd?

If you mean relays, they are in the Power Distribution Center in the engine compartment.
