Default Just wondering

Hello everyone, just wondering, I've been working at a repair shop part time for a while and we had an 01 cruiser come in. Claims while he is driving no more than 10-30miles, the engine cuts out with no warning. He will wait maybe 30mins and it would start right up. We havent had the time to pull codes but wondered if anyone has come across this problem so I have a heads up on what to expect. Boss man wants me to handle this one cause I am such a MOPAR fanatic.

Not a lot to go on. Maybe cam or crank sensor.
Also check on the backside of the engine for wires hanging and rubbing on axle shorting out! This happened to CREWZIN.

As Busted said, not a lot to go on. Is the mileage anywhere around 100,000K? If it is, maybe timing belt. As you know they go without warning. Best thing is to check fault codes. If you have a scanner (you should) easy enough to do. P0340 (Camshaft sensor), P0344 Crankshaft sensor OR either of these could mean they aren't seeing a signal from the Cam/Crank and the timing belt has gone south. No particular fault code for the belt itself.

Keep coming back for answers ......... we'll make you look good for the Boss!
