Default opinions on double platinum plugs?

2005 base 2.4L 22,000 mi 1'st spark plug change for this vehicle!

planning to use double platinum

any opinions as to whether they're good choice for car used mainly for local commuting, low annual miliage?

objective is maximise reliability, gas mileage, time to next plugs change.

I tried em in my Neon DOHC.....burnt up quick. but that was a weak 2.0. Personally i use OEM however i've heard good things about them in the 2.4 PT's :-)

Be sure and change the plug wires - and DO NOT use stock wires.
I've had 2 PTS and on both the stock wires started giving me misses before 20,000 miles - put in Crane wires and no problems since.
I believe and good name brand wires will be fine.
Gap at 0.050.

TSB 08-008-04 noted a new Champion spark plug specification and a new gap - 0.040 inches replacing the prior 0.050 inches.

My bad - I knew that. 0.050 was the original gap - corrected to 0.040..

"opinions on double platinum plugs?"

Maybe it's just me, but I think you should only use one plug per cylinder.

Texas humor.

Champion Double Platinum Plugs.
Champions longest life plug, designed to replace original equipment platinum plugs. The fine wire center electrode and tapered side electrode aid in focusing the spark for better performance while both the side and center electrodes are also platinum tipped for superior erosion resistance (longer life). A triple sealed interior and copper core reduce failure to heat and stress.

I just bought a 2010 Classic to replace my base 2007.

So, the current wisdom is 7570 Champions @.040? I remember another Champion plug number in 2009 when I replaced them in my 2007.

I used Bosch wires in 2009 for my 2007 but see nothing listed for 2010's. Is that simply a listing error?

If I go back from 2010 I get D9477 or D9858 for Bosch wires. Thoughts on which ones will work best.

Thnx!
