Default Newbie intake issue...

I got a cheapy short ram intake for my 05 touring edition.
It has two holes; I've got the sensor in one, but I'm not sure what to do with the second.
Is it for the tube from the bottom of the air box?
And if so, how should I install it?
The tube is rather stiff and there is no connector.
?

It is and you will probably have to buy a piece of flexible hose.

My second hole in the intake tube is for the black vacuum tube that runs from the side of the valve cover. The hole is supposed to have a black grommet that will hold the vacuum line in tightly to the intake tube.

Yeah. Mine has the hole with a grommet, but no fitting to attach the hose to.
Runs fine as is, but I wanna hook it up right.
It's shockingly louder than stock!

Yea, my wife don't like it when i floor it. The rushing air into the throttle body makes a heck of a loud sound. I sure don't mind it when I'm alone.

I read in another topic about people using the short ram from a mitsu eclipse too.
I know hose have a little nipple on the side for the tube.
Wonder if I shoulda gone that route?

Not sure what the difference would be. Might as well get the one built for the car you own so you know the holes are in the right place for the IAT and vacuum hose, unless you could have picked one up for the Mitz for a fiver.

Yeah. Good point. I bought a hose clamp and a small brass tube fitting.
The tube has a flair on one side and is the perfect diameter for the grommet.
I put the flair side in the intake tube, cut the vacuum hose to length and clamped it one.
The hose is pretty strong and stiff, but it bent enough to reach.
I like it!

Well, it's been a few weeks and the junky APC filter fell apart!
The flange disconnected from the filter.
Any ideas what I can use to glue it back together?
It's got an epoxy like glue base that needs to reattach to the metal flange part.

Use epoxy. Or better yet mod you stock box and get a k&n drop in for cooler air!
