Default Engine block heater

Has anyone ever installed an engine block heater on thier PT? If so did you use an OEM solution or aftermarket in-block heater?

I have one, but I did not install it, the car came from the factory with it... I ordered the car new and added the heater just because I could, I have never used it however.

is there a freeze plug in the block that was used on the factory installed one or is it an external type?

Block heaters in the winter (if you get to freezing levels) can significantly increase the life of your engine.

I have one, but only used it once when it hit -30c .... helps ! It's OEM.

The Turbo is strong, fast and reliable.. People that don't understand the love of a PT, probably don't deserve to.

I think the heater replaces one of the freeze plugs. That it's how I have seen it done on other vehicles.
The electrical cord for it is on the drivers side. I'm not sure where the heater is exactly however...
