Default Trouble code P0203, help please!

I just bought a very clean 2001 PT, 2.4L with a Whipple Supercharger, 90800 miles. I got it for a bargain price because of existing trouble codes from cyl#3 of P0203 (injector) and P0303 (misfire). I did a compression test on cyl#3, it read 150#. I changed plugs and plug wires, cleared the codes, and now only P0203 comes up (injector circuit fault). It feels like it's running on 3 cylinders. I removed the injectors and had all 4 serviced at Dr.Injector, all 4 were OK. The service tech told me to check the wires to the injector because that code is an electrical fault that indicates a short or open condition. I checked continuity and resistance of all the injector wires and used a 12v test light probe with the engine running to check for power in the positive wire at the PCM going to injector #3 (all OK). It appears there is a single common ground wire from the PCM going to all 4 injectors. I cleared the codes again, started it and the P0203 came up again. I've been reading the posts here for the injector circuit fault codes and no one has reported back what their solution was to this problem. I know that the PCM uses the signals from the cam position sensor and the crankshaft position sensor to fire the injectors and plugs, has anyone here heard that replacing either of these actually solved an injector circuit problem? It doesn't seem logical but I'm stumped here. I'm hoping it's not a problem in the PCM (computer). Any ideas?

Thanks Crewzin, I'll update this post as I work to solve this problem. I hope to see replies from others who have experienced this trouble code in the past.

Thumbs up Re: Trouble code P0203, help please!

Follow up post, FYI, as a last resort it was a replacement ECM (ECU, computer) that solved this problem.

We seem to be hearing more and more of computer problems. Thanks for getting back to us.

My wife came home one day and said, Tater (2003 PT Cruiser GT) was runner rough. I took ithe tater for a spin. Sure enough. And had codes, 300, 301, 302, 303, 304. Replaced plugs, plug wires, coil pak, Still no change. Replaced ECM with a rebuilt from "Carcomputer Exchange" then 300, 480. Replaced fuel pump from "Herko Fuel Pumps" got the 300 code again and now the tater makes a whooo noise while driving and only when it misfires. I disconnected the battery to clear the codes. And took it for a spin. Half a block away it started the "whoo" noises and misfires, runs smooth for abit then misfires/noise then smooth then repeat. Check codes 201, 480. At a loss totally perplexed.

I forgot to mention, the tater had a power steering leak. So I ended up replacing the "O" ring on the end of the high pressure hose. While I had it apart I replaced the valve cover/spark wells gaskets, and intake plenum gasket. While intake was off tested each injector with ohm miter, 12.4 ohms. The last codes where 201, 480. I sprayed either everywhere I could think.

What is your current fuel pressure?
Was the rebuilt ECM for 2003 GT?

Not sure what fuel pressure is, I don't have the equipment to test. Yes rebuilt was for 2003 Gt turbo they even ask for vin# and mileage. Model # of ECM matched original.
