Does anyone know of any good places to find a used or maybe new turbo for a decent price? I have seen a couple pop up on ebay for $5-600 or so. I have an 02' that I would like to make a turbo.

I can't say I have seen any that cheap. Hahn Racecraft (do a search) has turbos specifically for the PT. But honestly dude, if you are going to go forced induction, I wouldn't look for the cheapest one or the best deal. Turbo is a high performance thing and you don't wanna screw around when you get into that area. I don't mean that to sound mean in anyway. I am just simply saying, and I think some people would agree, wait a while, build up a slightly larger budget...and go for something of really good quality. And as far as getting one used, I wouldn't do it personally cuz you don't know how the last guy treated it. Anyway, just my 2 cents man, hope everything works out.

There is a lot more to building a turbo than just slapping a turbo unit on a NA motor. You would be best advised to go with the Hahn kit that comes with everything you need. Believe me, unless you are ready to do a lot of fabricating and lot have lots of down time, this would be your best bet.

I value the advice of others with this car. I have friends that build cars and finding a used one was something they say would be good. I would rather trust the people in this forum because you have the same cars. Thats a lot of money though! And being military, by the time I could afford that, my car would be out of style! LOL

Nowhere near a turbo in boost, but something you'll feel and hear is a better intake - when it's back up, go to www.PTDoItYourself.Net and look at the home made intake mods - lotta bang for little $. The stock intake is for noise control.
My advice as an ex-Marine - don't re-up to get the reenlistment bonus! ![]()
