Default Front/Side Airbags

Is there anything I need to do if I want to swap front airbag-equipped seats other than disconnect the battery? I just don't want any codes set or anything if I unplug the airbag from the car...

Thanks!

What years is yours and what year are the donor seats?

Both '01. The only reason I am doing this is that PO managed to break off the recline lever on the seat in the car. It's taken me forever to find a matching leather seat that isn't wrecked, and today I lucked out.

You should be good then. Unhook the battery, press the brake pedal several times to help clear any residual power, and wait about 15 minutes and then begin. As long as everything is good on the donor seat you shouldn't set any codes when you get everything back together.

Awesome, thank you. Hopefully everything is good on the donor seat. You never know with junkyard parts, but the car I pulled from must have been mechanical failure or vandalism or something because there was no accident damage and none of the airbags deployed. Hopefully, we'll be able to adjust the seat back without using a screw driver.

That seemed to have worked. New seat, no warning lights. Super!
