Cool So much changing for no improvement

Hi, so I currently own a 2002 PT crusier limited that i bought off a police auction. The mechanic at the auction said I would just have to replace the starter and it would be fine. I replaced the starter but the engine is still cranking but not turning over. I was also told by my local mechanic that it could be the crankshift position sensory. When I changed that, the engine went from cranking over to not doing anything at all. Any ideas on what it could be?

Yeah, we need some kind of clarification on your definition of "cranking" and "turning over". Did you verify that you're receiving spark at all cylinders? If not, that points to coil, wires, or plugs. Crank or cam position sensors would result in a no-start condition.. Definitely check the battery though, too. Repeated long attempts at starting the car (turning the key, operating the starter) will drain the battery very, very quickly.
