Default New motor

I have a PT 2001.

I bought it with 50 000 miles, put another 50 000 into it until radiator and over heating problems started.

Instead of trying to fix it I was wondering if there is another motor I could put in this car kind of "pimp my ride"

I don't want to invest in another PT motor after the bad experience I had and no one really has a guarantied solution. Many people had this same problem and already spent lots of money without a solution.

I love this car and how it rides. It's manual and great on the road, would love to keep it and make something out of it.

Please advise
Thanks
JP

there is no drop in upgrade. seeing as you couldn't even avoid overheating your engine, i'd assume any type of swap would require skills you not have. just fix it or sell it.

everything i hear there are only 2 causes of overheating. low coolant or a burned out fan. an engine swap wouldnt help with either

all i knwo is this
the PTS get a lot of bad reps from using oil to over heating
and second they have some issues
the fan is not good and the low speed almosat always goes out and that caused the over heating
the timing belt is a pain and at 100.000 miles or so its expensive
you have a first gen with 100,000 so think about this the car is almost 12 years old things will need replaced the fan maybe the radiator the frount bearings the timing belt but this is all called maintance probaly not going to find a motor to do a lot more if you kind of think about this

just my thoughts did nto mean to be a jerk if it sounds that way
