Hi Having just replaced some aftermarket door mirrors on my 2000x pt cruiser with second hand originals, fitted the n/side one ok when i connected the multiplug on the o/side one it blew something i now have no interior lights, radio, or central locking!!!!. the message in the speedo says no fuse! also the engine management light has come on. I have tried all the fuses on both blocks with no blown fuses ???? any ideas ?? or suggestions for a pt mechanic near Tunbridge Wells Kent.

I just ran into this problem this morning hooking up my new dvd in dash radio. Look in the fuse panel under the hood for a fuse labeled "IOD" and it should have a plastic black puller around it. It was designed to be pulled so the car's battery wouldn't drain when the car wasn't used for long period or something to that effect. You will have to pry the black plastic part away "I just broke the two tabs on the top, but I"m sure you can take it off without breaking it" and pull that fuse. Mine was sure enough blown even if it doesn't look blown try replacing it anyways with a 20 amp fuse (never go higher than fuse rating) Hope this helps!!!

I have pulled the fuse on my car to try and rid of the no fuse message... It's ok..

I have read elsewhere that it effects the radio, power / central locking, and a couple of other things... Is one of those the interior dome light?

My radio, power locks, headlights, dash lights all work. BUT my dome light has no bulb in too...

Can anyone help?

Maybe the switch off or bad. Just a possibility.

Dome light controlled by fuse #13 (10 amp) in dash fuse box,
and Fuse #18 (20 amp) in PDC under hood.
These other functions would also be out if fuse is bad (SKIM, RKE, visor vanity-mirror lights, overhead console, power mirror switch lights, cargo lamp).

I'll double check again under the hood and see what's what.

Cheers.
